Commission: The Gloves Make The Man

Here we have a four-stage transformation sequence in which an unsuspecting young fighter finds himself in possession of some comically oversized boxing gloves, which turn out – lawks! – to be magical comically oversized boxing gloves. Our unwitting hero thus undergoes a somewhat startling metamorphosis into a pugilist of mammoth proportions, in a manner most unfriendly to the rest of his clothing. I think it's safe to say he's going to have to move into a different weight division.

All of the above was drawn with pencils and pens in the traditional scribbling-on-paper fashion, at the behest of kindly commissioner R T Rose, who is excellent. Working out the various stages of the transformation took some time, but I'm immensely pleased with how they turned out, especially since if you arrange them like a flipbook and hop between them at speed they look a bit like an animation. Hurrah!
