Artist's Comments

The Main Event continues, and we join the action just as Butch (on the right) catches Rex (on the left, natch) with a tremendous thump in the chops, sending the big cat reeling and making an orthodontist somewhere very happy indeed. But will the pugilistic pooch be able to press his advantage, or can the ferocious feline fight back and teach his opponent the meaning of the phrase "dog pound"? There's only one way to find out, so don't touch that dial, folks! And don't press the "Off" button on your remote control either. And try not to get the lead caught round the Hoover and pull the plug out of the wall while you're doing the vacuuming. In fact, just turn the Hoover off altogether, would you? Nobody can hear a ruddy thing over that racket.

For an action replay of the fight so far, prod the following links with your pointer:

As before, the next image in the sequence will be created by Salvador Meza, who is great, and whose personal DA spot can be found in this place: [link] Butch is copyrighted to him, so don't go doing anything of an infringey nature or we'll send the boys round.

Ouch...now that looks painful, but I have to admit that Rex earned it!
Can't wait to see who's getting out of this with his teeth all in place, then again I'm not too sure about that:)

Good to see this, and you, again. As usual, nice job on the fur on the cat, the colo(u)rs and bodies for both, and the action.

That'll sting!

In retrospect, not all fantasy characters have to be brave heros rescueing people from unspeakable evil.
I, sadly, realized it too late.

He is, as they say, going to be feeling that one tomorrow. But Rex is a pretty tough cookie, so don't count him out just yet...
:iconmatthewsmith:
No probs. And thanks very much!
